Dr. Hinkle is a family physician in rural Alabama who specializes in health policy, especially that related to rural healthcare, medical education, quality and value-based care, and the use of data to improve care. He is especially interested in reinventing healthcare in rural America and Alabama through helping practices and hospitals navigate the transition to value-based care. In addition to his work as a family physician, Dr. Hinkle is also a hospice medical director and sees palliative care as integral to quality healthcare delivery.
