Dr. Vasagar is a practicing family medicine physician and the Chief Medical Officer of Progressive Community Health Centers. In this role, she is committed to developing trust, addressing the social determinants of health, and helping patients reach their health goals, regardless of ability to pay. Beyond direct patient care, Dr. Vasagar enjoys trying to improve healthcare to better serve the community and has spent much of her career starting new clinical practices, partnering with community groups, and leading clinical innovations. For these efforts, she was named a 2017 Presidential Leadership Scholar and is currently the President of the Delaware Academy of Family Physicians. A new mom after eight long years of infertility, Dr. Vasagar also understands healthcare from the perspective of a patient and a parent (and is learning more every day!)
